The experience behind the studio
Legacy Mountain Studio was not conceived simply as a place to record.
It grew from decades of working with music, musicians and sound — and from the conviction that the best results often come when there is enough time to listen, to experiment and to let a performance develop without unnecessary interruption.
Behind the studio are Luis Arnaldo and Mayka Álvarez.

Luis Arnaldo

With more than 35 years of professional experience, Luis Arnaldo has worked throughout his career as a drummer, session musician, producer and voice artist.

As a drummer, he has worked with recognised musicians in rock, progressive rock and pop, produced records and recorded numerous albums as a session musician across different musical styles. His work has had a particular connection with adventurous, unconventional and avant-garde music — music in which musicianship, interaction and a strong sense of musical identity matter as much as technique.

As a voice artist, he has also developed a long and distinguished career, becoming one of the most prominent and recognisable voices in Spain.

All of these experiences — performing, recording, producing and listening — inform the philosophy of Legacy Mountain Studio.

The Luis Arnaldo Legacy Drums Collection is an extension of that journey: a personal collection built over decades and guided by an ongoing search for instruments with character, response and a genuine ability to contribute something to a recording.

Mayka Álvarez

Mayka Álvarez has more than 20 years of professional experience as a singer and vocalist.

Her role at Legacy Mountain Studio extends beyond her musical background. She is responsible for the management and administration of the studio, including client coordination, contracts, invoicing, organisation and the day-to-day running of the business.

She also oversees the accommodation and hospitality provided to artists, ensuring that every stay is organised with discretion, care and continuity.

Her experience as a vocalist gives her a natural understanding of the demands of musicians and of the creative environment in which a recording takes place.

Legacy Mountain Studio brings these two trajectories together.
One rooted in decades of performance, recording, production and sound. The other in music, people, organisation and the careful attention required to make a creative project possible.
